BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS!

{

I had the honor of meeting Jim at a festival in a small Illinois town. Jim told me that he made snare drums and asked if I would try one of them out.

This was a dream come true. The snare was beyond my expectations: craftsmanship was unbelievable, the sound was amazing and the quality was superb. I have played many drums in the past however this drum was by far the best drum I have ever played. At the end of the gig, I realized that this drum was essential to my kit. I cannot say enough about how good the drum is however the maker of this spectacular drum is even greater.

Jim and I have since become great friends and I now consider him my drum creator. I have recommended many drummers to check these drums out and now Jim has made drums for Eric Holmquist (drum tech for Kansas), Phil Ehart of Kansas and Rod Morganstein from Winger and formerly of the Dixie Dregs. I cannot say enough about the quality, sound and craftsmanship of Crook Custom Drums.

Sincerely,
Neil Holmquist

Hey Jim

Finally got home and checked out the snare. It is just an outstanding instrument. Thank you so much for making it for me!!

Who makes the strainer? Really cool!

I’m in the studio in about a month and looking forward to wringing it out!!

Thank you again.

I CAN’T SAY ENOUGH…

{

I can’t say enough about the CRAFTSMANSHIP and PURE BEAUTY of Crook Custom Drums. My Rosewood snare has been my go to drum since day one for recording and/or playing live.

The craftsmanship is Top Notch, and Jim will work with you until you’re satisfied. Not only are Crook Custom Drums BEAUTIFUL, they SOUND FANTASTIC for any style of music.

I look forward to seeing what the future brings for Jim and Crook Custom Drums.

THANKS!

{

Hey James.

I just want to say THANKS for making this exquisite looking and sounding snare drum. The wood is magnificent, the throw-off is a novel idea, and the drum feels so good to play. I hope we can meet in person one day so I can thank you personally.

Neil Holmquist is a good friend and a very special human being. We met back in the 70’s when our bands played together in the Chicago area and have stayed in touch ever since.

Thanks again and all the best,
Rod Morgenstein
